As a producer, remixer and DJ, Nate Wize has been busy crafting a sound of organic dubby breaks and beats for the past 15 years. Back in the day Nate and I used to rock shit. Going from party to party. Shit we even held classes at a High School on mixing. Here is my man's newest mix of Franz Ferdinand's Ulysses. Hit this LINK to check out the sound.
OK I'll admit to watching Electric Circus every week, but that's only because they used have some dope live hip hop acts. That's it and that's all. Plus I used to find it funny to see people dance for the camera when they had no business dancing in the first place. Anyways this is an ode to those days.
Alright feel this. Back in 96 I ran into Afrika Bambaataa at a record store in Toronto. I couldn't believe it. I was digging through crates with a Hip Hop Pioneer. It was a brief encounter but I'll remember this moment in time for the rest of my life. Here is a classic Bambaataa joint, one of my all time favorite tracks. Can you feel it?
